We are creative landscape architects, committed to the highest professional standards, dedicated to generating positive momentum in the places we work. We’re proud of our diverse project portfolio, but all are built on a single foundation: the new place should restore people as well as the land itself.

We create positive momentum.

01

What exactly do you mean by “highest professional standards”? Don’t give me some kind of marketing fluff here.

It’s true, our standards sound lofty. For us, it’s really a way of life. Every detail of every project is approached with passion, curiosity, and a commitment to see our clients succeed. We expect to go beyond expectations. Our first question is always “What is best for the project?” followed by “How do we get there?” All other questions tend to fall within that focus.

Our approach is organized, but also highly flexible. The complex projects we support are often unpredictable by nature, and our clients need us to be light on our feet. Whatever adventures are in store during the course of a project, we constantly look for strategies to improve the results. Challenges are often opportunities!

Alongside our project work, we are also committed to each other. Dirtworks maintains robust research and improvement systems behind the scenes, always working to improve our professional knowledge and apply that to our work. Our ideals drive us to support each other and the communities we work in, meaningfully restoring all of us together.

Very nice. What does all that mean for my project?

You can expect us to work harder and smarter. The creativity and research we bring to every project sets us apart. We believe each site and each project is unique, worthy of its own identity. That commitment to context inspires a specialized approach to problem solving, whether the challenge is sustainable planting design, creative use of materials and furnishings, community and stakeholder participation, even strategies for regulatory reviews.
