Alex Hart, RLA, ASLA
Alex Hart has over fifteen years of dedicated experience in designing and implementing public landscapes, master plans and environmental restoration. Alex has extensive knowledge of the design process for many types of projects, with leadership on significant work throughout the Northeast and internationally.
While completing graduate work at Cornell University, Alex researched design methods for a full year on a Fulbright Fellowship in Copenhagen, Denmark, and graduated at the top of his class with the ASLA Honor Award. He earned two Masters degrees, in Landscape Architecture as well as City and Regional Planning.
With a focus on complex, large-scale work from the start of his career, Alex has developed an extensive design understanding. Through nine years of experience with New York City Parks, Alex personally designed over $25m worth of new projects, served as Director of Design for all projects in Manhattan, and led the team responsible for the design and reconstruction of all parks damaged by Hurricane Sandy. As a partner at Dirtworks, Alex is committed to bringing high quality design to all communities.
