Amy Foster, LEED AP
Amy Foster, Senior Designer, brings her broad background in landscape design, sustainable design and international studies to Dirtworks, PC. Amy is responsible for project coordination, graphic presentations, and technical documentation at all stages of design. She is heavily involved in many of the firm’s newest therapeutic and healthcare landscapes, and takes a particular interest in urban projects and publically accessible designs that accommodate a wide range of users.
Ms. Foster joined the Dirtworks team after graduating with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University with a double minor in International Studies and Environmental Inquiry. During her time as a student she spent two semesters abroad, which vastly broadened her perspective of landscape’s influence on human experience. In Bonn Germany her studies focused on urban design and the cultural and lifestyle impacts of abundant public plazas, parks, and walk-able streetscapes. While in the remote Udzungwa Mountains of Tanzania, she considered the delicacy of a teeming “biodiversity hotspot” in balance with the immediate needs of the adjacent developing villages.
Amy recently earned her LEED AP Building + Construction credential, which signifies expertise in sustainable building and denotes the capability to guide the LEED certification process of a project. Amy is currently pursuing her Landscape Architectural License through CLARB’s examination process.
