Sarah Toth

Landscape Architect

Sarah believes good design should serve the needs of people, enhance environmental processes, and bring communities together. She is intrigued by exploring and sharing unique stories of each site through design gestures and details. With a background in design and construction, Sarah has experience working on various public and private sector projects, ranging from roof decks, playgrounds, plazas, and cultural landscapes. At New York City Parks, Sarah and the design team received an ASLA-NY 2022 Board Choice Award in Community Impact for the Sankofa Park African Burial Ground Commemorative Landscape. Sarah brings technical knowledge, construction administration experience, and strong construction documentation skills to Dirtworks.

Sarah holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the City College of New York, where her thesis Pyro-diversion: Planning for Fire in the San Gabriel Valley, received a 2018 ASLA Student Honor Award in Planning and Analysis and was exhibited at the 2018 International Landscape Architecture Biennal in Barcelona.
